I've never played poker!

Spent time on the web, learning how to play poker. Seven-card Stud! It's not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I'd have to have a cheat sheet, though. I can't remember all of the hands (3 of a kind, full house, flush, etc.). Working on some poker playing in the book (1920s).

Now, I'm imagining myself at the poker table with my notes out, trying to figure out if I have a good hand. When I was in Las Vegas, I sat down at a table to play Blackjack. I know how to play, but there's a strategy to holding or asking for more cards. Since I didn't know the strategy, I asked the guy next to me, showing him my cards. Boy, did I make the Pit Boss nervous. They were trying to decide if there was some scam I was running or if I was just that naive. Overall, I won $20 bucks and was a happy as a pig in mud.

If you're a big poker player, I can always use some advice. I'll need to write a scene with tense playing and some cheating. Let me know.
