The Letter....

According to my publisher, I need to put the letter into the 2nd edition of The Longest Journey. So, I have decided that to be fair to my 1st edition readers, I should make the letter available to you. Enjoy!

Karoline,

I want to apologize for what I said to you before I left, but you seem to know how to bring out the worst in me. I think that we have not been a good match. I thought that if I married a Norwegian woman we would be compatible together. I realize now that it takes more than just the same language and place of birth to make a marriage, and I can no longer tolerate being with you. For that reason, I have decided to move out of our house and reside with Ingrid and her family. I will move as soon as I return from the north.
